HARVEST
Definition
Crop gathering, which usually commenced in Palestine in mid April and ended in June. It began with barley and two weeks later wheat. The first fruits of the barley harvest were taken to the Temple in Passover week. The first fruits of the wheat harvest were offered at Pentecost.
